Solo, 12 November 2025 – PT Fore Kopi Indonesia Tbk (FORE) reaffirms its commitment to environmental and social responsibility by providing tangible support to Relawan Joko Tingkir Pajang, a local community in Surakarta focused on river conservation and waste management.
This support is realized through the donation of vital equipment, namely organic waste shredder and chainsaw. The shredder will be specifically used by the volunteers to process organic waste collected from Pajang Sub-district residents, as well as organic debris successfully filtered from the Kleco River flow.
The handover of the aid was conducted directly by the management of FORE to Mr. Doni Restu Nugroho, Chairman of Relawan Joko Tingkir Pajang, and witnessed by the local Sub-district Head (Lurah), representatives of Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas (local security and police representatives), at Taman Asri Norowangsan, Solo, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Reducing Landfill Burden and Fostering Community Independence
By empowering the community to process organic waste at the local level, this initiative is expected to significantly reduce the volume of waste sent to the Putri Cempo Final Disposal Site (TPA/Landfill). This step is a direct contribution to mitigating the negative environmental impact caused by waste accumulation.
Relawan Joko Tingkir is known as an active and innovative community group in environmental preservation efforts in Solo, specifically maintaining the cleanliness of the Kleco and Jenes Rivers which pass through the Pajang Sub-district area. They are known to implement unique methods in tackling river waste issues, including:
- Routine river cleanup community service.
- The ‘Perahu Jaring’ (Net Boat) innovation to filter and collect waste from the river.
- Dispersal of fish seeds to maintain and restore the river’s aquatic ecosystem.
The focus of Relawan Joko Tingkir’s activities aligns with FORE’s sustainability pillars, namely waste management and community involvement, making this support highly relevant and providing a multiplied impact.
