Jakarta, 24 July, 2026 – In celebration of World Environment Day, PT Fore Kopi Indonesia Tbk. (Fore) introduced Trash to Treasure initiative, encouraging employees to adopt more sustainable lifestyles through a simple yet meaningful action, giving pre-loved items a second life. Through the program, employees were invited to donate items that remain in good condition, including clothing, books, bags, and accessories. These donated items were then made available for other employees to adopt free of charge, allowing them to be reused, extend their lifespan, and reduce unnecessary waste.
The initiative reflects Fore’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of sustainability within the company. Beyond helping to reduce textile and consumer waste, the program promotes the principles of reuse and the circular economy by encouraging active participation from employees.
“Trash to Treasure is a simple yet meaningful initiative that empowers our Fore Friends to make a positive impact on the environment. By encouraging the habit of sharing and giving usable items a second life, we hope to inspire greater awareness that even small actions can create lasting benefits for both the environment and the community,” said Mercy Aritonang, Human Capital Director of PT Fore Kopi Indonesia Tbk.

Through this initiative, items that might otherwise have gone to waste, were given a second chance through reuse, extending their lifecycle and maximizing their value. Meanwhile, any items that were not adopted by employees will continue to serve a meaningful purpose through donation to Donasi Barang, a social organization that distributes donated goods to communities in need and manages them through various sustainability programs.
More than just a sharing program, Trash to Treasure serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of reducing waste, extending the lifecycle of everyday items, and cultivating a culture of care and responsibility as part of a more sustainable way of living.
The enthusiastic response from employees during the program’s first session, demonstrates the growing culture of sharing and environmental responsibility within Fore. On this occasion, Fore Friends donated eighty pre-loved items, ranging from clothing and books to bags and accessories. Most of these items found new owners among fellow employees, allowing them to continue serving a useful purpose instead of becoming waste.
Following the overwhelming participation and positive feedback from employees, Fore plans to continue Trash to Treasure as a recurring sustainability-focused employee engagement program. Moving forward, the company hopes to engage even more participants, strengthen understanding of circular economy principles, and encourage more reusable items to remain in circulation rather than ending up as waste.
As a growing company, Fore believes that sustainability is driven not only by business innovation but also by the everyday habits that people build together. The company remains committed to creating a positive impact on the environment, the communities it serves, and all Fore Friends as part of its journey toward a more sustainable future.
